Thoughts on working and applying for jobs while working a home business

Okay, so you're not doing as well as you thought you'd be and need to get a job in order to make the bills...are you a failure? I don't think so, and here's why:
Business is HARD
Sometimes it SUCKS
It's okay to do something else until you can make your bills through your company. You are the master of your fate and it's on YOU to pay the bills. Don't worry what other people think...especially if they think you're a failure because you still need a job to cover everything. They aren't paying your bills...YOU ARE. I am rooting for you no matter what!

New Fantastic Finds Products

Part of the entreprenuership journey is learning how to run a successful business AND when to accept that a certain model isn't working as you thought it would. My store was becoming too complicated and I had a serious problem with the idea of waiting for days to see items shipped and to arrive where they needed to go. So, since I make it my goal to improve my service in any way I can, I've decided to cut out parts of my business and reorganize my product offerings. At the moment, I'm working on new products and doing a lot of thinking and research how to better use my skills for success. I have always loved jewelry and jewelry making, so now I have added my own products for sale. These are not only offered on my boutique's website, but in other places as well, to improve my visibility in the area. I'll keep you posted on whether or not that works.

Since I'm super proud of my creations, here's some pics so you can enjoy them as well!
Here's all my necklaces together. Obviously the charms werent hand made by me, but were chosen and put together by yours truly!

These necklaces will be live on the website by tomorrow afternoon my time at the latest, and I'd love to ship one out to anyone interested!

Living a Life of Health and Wellness

My Journey with Essential Oils

Over the past few weeks I have been learning about essential oils and how they can support a healthy lifestyle. Living a life eating and drinking and using whatever you want can be easier, but convenience is sacrificed for health and wellness. Throughout my journey through life, I have realized that beginning and maintaining a healthy life is more important than convenience! Short answer is yes they do support healthy vitality and well running body systems. I have started with the premium starter kit that comes with a diffuser, multiple different oils, and a few samples of their different items. I did the math and it's a bit cheaper to just spring for the whole thing. I chose Young Living for a variety of reasons, to include the costs of the kits and the contents. Each oil in the kit was directly useful to me in a lot of areas. Young Living is unique in that it uses a seed to seal guarantee meaning that the oils used are watched from seedlings throughout the entire process. I love that assurance that what I'm putting in my body and into the air are not adulterated in any way. `

I'm not going to bore you with details and compensation, and all the extra stuff since that's not my style. My wish is to show you what these oils do for my family and for our life. I'm not going all into every single oil and what they do, although I will be posting more as my expertise grows. Here I will focus on some of my favorite ones.

Lemon
Natures Natural Antiseptic and Deodorizer!

Lemon is a great oil for the face. It's a natural astringent, and great for building a beautiful complexion. Also known for its cleaning ability and cutting out odors, a couple drops to a diffuser or in a spray bottle will help fix a stinky house naturally! Also, for the benefits to your face, you can add a couple drops to your face cleaner and incorporate it into your regimen!

Frankincense
Oil of the Ancients!
Frankincense is well known in the ancient world as both a religious oil and as an antiseptic. Frankincense is created by using the resin from a tree found native in Somalia. Frankincense operates at a high vibration, which is why it's often used as a religious oil as it tends to bring its user to a higher spiritual existence. If you're not religious, that's okay. This oil can help focus and concentration and create an atmosphere of better creativity. It's not just for that though! I use it as a calming agent, in my facial care regimen, and in bath products!

Purification
Enrich your life!

Purification is probably my most favorite oil I use. I use it daily to remove odors from my home. This oil is a fantastic mix of several different oils, all of which remove odors and provide a fresh scent without adding toxic chemicals to our air. This is crucial if you're trying to limit or eliminate any exposure to toxic cleaning chemicals.

These three oils are not my only favorites, but they are ones I use pretty constantly! I love them because as a parent of children, smells and stinks and messes are par for the course. We all use oils and everyone here loves them. I would love to hear your opinions, ideas, things that work, etc in the comments!

Update, Fantastic Finds Boutique, and What's going on with me

It's been way too long since I've posted anything! My apologies! Life has gotten in the way a little plus I began my own entrepreneurship adventure! I am selling handmade items, skincare/bath product, and a delicious tea line that I have been working on branding and creating. I also got two little babies that are absolutely adorable AND annoying (what babies aren't at least some of the time) and started an adventure into essential oils! So, here's a bit more about everything:
Introducing Fantastic Finds Boutique!

Fantastic Finds is a boutique designed to give you beautiful and functional products at a discount. We search products to find the most useful products in colors and designs that show off your specific taste or ideas. We sell jewelry, home decor items, kitchen items, and tea ware. That's not all though. Recently, we have decided to create our own line of bath products and face masks and a delicious tea selection. There are black teas and green teas and quite a few herbal blends. I have a lot of trouble trying to stay away from my stock since it's so fantastic! My loss is your gain, however, because you can get your own sample sets and/or bulk sized teas! My tea selection is not listed, so you would have to email sales@fantasticfindsboutique.com OR check out our Facebook page to buy through messenger. Eventually we'll get everything listed, but for now I don't want you missing out! Here's what we have at this moment!

Available Teas for Purchase
Delicious Asian style tea with wonderful flavor. Available for immediate shipping in bulk 1 pound size. Only one available.

Another one of my favorites, with smokey black tea and orange with different spices. Reminds me of orange spice tea with a twist! Available in bulk sizes with a pre-order

A delicious twist on sencha and dragonwell tea! Good for days you need a strong flavor but don't want to make something complicated. Available in 2ish ounce tins and in bulk with a pre-order.

If you want a party in your mouth and adore coconut, then this might be for you! Deliciousness incarnate! This one is one of my favorites and I could drink it ALL DAY! Available in bulk or smaller with a pre order.

Lavender is well known as an herb that promotes calm and relaxation, so drinking this delicious blend is fantastic for relaxing after a really stressful day. Available in bulk with a pre-order.

Tastes like a mint explosion! Mint is well known as a digestive aid for stomach troubles, so this could be fantastic for that late afternoon discomfort! Bulk size available with a pre-order.

This delicious tea is available in 1.75 ounce tins and tastes like a blissful day! Only 2 left, so ordering now will ensure you have a chance to try it out.

Pumpkin spice fans unite! This tea is a delightful twist on the "pumpkin spice" craze and is packed with flavor! Hello Fall in a cup! Available for shipping or pick up immediately in one pound bulk size.

These teas are just a sampling of what's available! I am very excited about this opportunity and am hoping to learn as much as I can about the process so that I can aid you in your own entrepreneur adventure. As I am the owner of both blog and store, I will receive financial benefit from links in this post, but I felt that it was important to share my own stories with you. Transparency is important to me, so here I am. I am going to leave the rest to your own exploration as I don't want to write a book about everything, so I will cut this short here and share more in the next couple days. Good luck and happy saving!

I choose to be kind

In a world that thrives on anger and judgment,
Choose to be kind.
In a world that loves to condemn anyone different,
Choose to be kind.
In a world that hates all who stand for what they believe in,
Choose to be kind.
In a world that loves discord, judgment, and holier than thou,
Choose to be kind.
In a world that is crying and hurt,
Choose to be kind.

I will love those who do not want to be loved
I will love those who are different.
I will love those who cry at night wishing to belong.
I will choose to love,
I will choose to include,
I will choose to be kind,
Always.

This has been on my mind lately with all the hate, anger, and condemnation swirling around our lives and on social media. We must make a conscious choice to be kind, to love, to respect, to include, to help, and to be the change we want to see. Change doesn't start on its own. It starts when people begin to understand the power of their words and how they can hurt or heal. It starts when we accept that we have been hurtful to those we love and choose to change and become welcoming and not to accept anger as a first resort. What would happen if all of us choose to love and to ignore the anger floating around? What if we understood that lashing out often happens because we do not feel accepted for who we are and for what we can offer the world? If you see a person who obviously feels out of place and uncomfortable, go up to them and welcome them into your circle of friends. If you see someone who isn't happy with something you have said, go to them and try to find a place where you can be at peace. Live your life understanding that everyone has their own struggles.

Winter Olympics, Kylie Jenner, Personal Opinions, because I'm entitled to them!

Rants Regarding the Olympics/Random thoughts.
I love most of the coverage of the Figure Skating Team Competition. Except that it seems like none of the announcers seem to want to give the Israeli team a chance. I understand the team is new and there's not a lot of depth, but for goodness sake don't write them OUT simply because they're not as well known as the rest of the teams! That being said, I don't think I have been as stressed out as I was in a while! I don't get nervous much, but I was clenching my teeth and exhaling in relief after almost every complicated move.

Kylie Jenner:
Uh oh, I know what you're thinking, why the heck would I want to review a celebrity? Especially one so controversial, but I feel that it's important to remember that she chose this privacy in order to protect herself and her child. This is NOTHING DIFFERENT than a mom deciding to stop working earlier than expected to care for herself OR to ask for help with her daily life instead of doing it all. Kylie is doing as best as she can and I'm SURE she asked for advice on what to do. Give her a break! And while I'm at it, stop criticizing mothers who don't do exactly as YOU think they should do while caring for their children...born or unborn. She's doing the best she can and probably is overthinking each and EVERY decision. Give her some credit and offer to help!

Yes this isn't long, and no I'm not being lazy. I've got tamales in the oven, a daughter wanting my time, a son I'm about to go get from school, and a house to clean. Maybe more coming in either an update or another post, but for now, you can go to my other blogs if you're interested in more of what I have to say! I am extremely behind on my postings, so that's one of my goals for the weekend. Gotta find time for everything!

Introduction, Affiliate Disclaimer, and Privacy Policy. Welcome All!

As a parent, I find that life tends to throw so many things our way regarding what's good and what's not for our children. Being limited to a blog that only deals with saving money keeps me from sharing opinions or things that might help a parent in other ways, which is my goal for this blog. I will be doing some affiliate marketing as a way to help finance this blog and help keep me from having to put kids in daycare (which I can't afford, working or not) and help provide some useful information for those who need it. So, as a disclaimer, many of the links provided or products reviewed may contain affiliate links, which provide financial compensation for me and my family. This income will be used to provide extracurricular activities and necessities for my family and allow me the time to continue with this blog and the others I run.

There really is no specific theme in my plans for this space. I have wide interests, so many if not all will find their way on here. I plan on organizing my content as I go, so it's easier to find things you're looking for. Thanks for reading and I look forward to hearing any comments you feel led to make.

Also, any information that is disclosed, such as names, email addresses, personal identifying information will be kept only for the use of professional business and will be automatically deleted upon request. This includes ALL services across ALL my blogs. I take privacy seriously, and hate when my information is sold to other advertisers. I will keep your information secure.
